About the Author:
Born in Geneva, Ohio, Susan is a thirty-year veteran of whitewater boating.  Introduced to canoeing at eight years old, Sue quickly became entranced.  By twenty-one, she was competing in flatwater marathons and building her own canoes.  By the following year, whitewater had taken hold and Sue has never looked back.  An avid boater, she has boated throughout the U.S. and Canada.  Over the years, Sue has paddled kayak as well as solo and tandem closed whitewater canoes (C-1 and C-2).  She continues to paddle kayak and solo open canoe (OC-1).
